How to create company I tally ERP9

 

Creating a company in Tally Prime is a simple process. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Open Tally Prime: Start Tally Prime on your computer.

  2. Go to the Gateway of Tally: When you open Tally Prime, you’ll land on the “Gateway of Tally” screen.

  3. Select "Create Company":

    • In the "Gateway of Tally" screen, press Alt + F3 or click on "Create Company" from the menu.

  4. Enter Company Details: A new screen will appear where you need to enter the details for the company. Here’s what you need to fill:

    • Name of the Company: Enter the company name.
    • Address: Enter the address of your company.
    • Country: Choose the country where the company is located.
    • State: Select the state.
    • PIN Code: Enter the postal code of your company.
    • Financial Year: Set the financial year for your company. Tally will assume this year for the company’s financials.
    • Books Beginning From: Set the start date for your books of accounts.
    • Currency Symbol: Select the currency used by your company.
    • Nature of Business: Choose the type of business (you can leave it as "Not Applicable" if unsure).

  5. Set Tally Features: Tally will ask you to enable features like:

    • Inventory Features (if you deal with inventory management)
    • Voucher Types (if required)
    • Taxation Features (GST, VAT, etc.)

    Enable the features you need and press Enter.

  6. Create the Company: After entering the details, press Ctrl + A to save and create the company.

Once the company is created, you can start recording your financial transactions and use various features of Tally Prime.
